We can control Diabetes mellitus type 2 mainly by three "D" which are drug ,diet, and Discipline respectively .Among these parameters, diet plays a very key role to the patient to maintain the normal glucose level. Here are some tips for a type-2 diabetic patient that they should know when they take their daily meal plan.
Protein sources :If you are a diabetic patient and you want to take protein ,always go with lean protein that contains saturated fat in the least amount .Fish and beans are the good sources of lean protein .In addition, you can also eat seafood which is very good source of Omega -3 fatty acid .
Low carb grains for diabetes: Always choose whole grain foods like Brown rice or wild rice and fibrous food like cereal .All these foods are very good source of vitamin , mineral and phytochemicals .They are also beneficial for our digestive system.
Diabetics Vegetable : Broccoli ,asparagus ,carrot contain a very lowest amount of carbohydrate that improves the blood sugar level and protects the blood vessel from cardiovascular damage that often a consequence of diabetics.
Fruits for diabetics to eat : Black Jamun , Kiwi,star fruit , Guava and cherries all these fruits are very helpful for maintaining the blood glucose level.So the diabetics patient should take these fruits and list out those fruits which contain high amounts of sugar such as watermelon and banana
